Most doctors order TSH alone and stop there. TSH is the instruction your brain sends. T3 and T4 are whether your body actually carried it out, and nearly every doctor runs the first one and never checks the rest. You pick a location near you and bring your insurance card. No appointment needed, walk in whenever suits you and expect about a 10 to 15 minute wait. You can book a time as a guest if you prefer. We email and text you a copy of your lab order for your records, and it lives in your Vtox portal too.
One blood draw, all 21 tests
One visit, billed to your insurance. Two things for the day: fast at least 6 hours (water only, no coffee, and sleeping covers most of it), and try to go before 9:30 AM. Quest cannot run cortisol after 9:30. Miss it and there is no stress, you can pop back for a quick second draw for cortisol alone or skip that one. Your call, though we do recommend it.

A written breakdown of what each number means for you, not a wall of reference ranges to decode on your own.

The labs themselves are run through your insurance at no out-of-pocket cost. A small $28 deposit reserves your spot and comes right back to you when you complete your labs.

Questions, answered
Do I have to use insurance for the labs?
No — but most women prefer to. Your lab panel is run through Quest Diagnostics and billed to your insurance, so the labs themselves are typically covered at no out-of-pocket cost to you. If you prefer to self-pay for labs, let our team know after you submit your intake.
Is this safe?
Yes. Your labs are ordered and reviewed by licensed healthcare providers. The lab draw itself is a standard blood panel performed at a Quest Diagnostics facility. No medication is prescribed through this process — the lab panel simply tells us (and you) what your body needs.
Do I need to be interested in weight loss?
No. Most women do this simply to find out what is going on in their body. Your results are yours: take them to your own doctor, sit with them, or talk them through with our nurse practitioner. Nothing is prescribed through this process and nobody will push you anywhere you did not ask to go.
When will I get my results?
Once Quest completes your panel, you receive a plain English written summary of what each number means for you. Our care team reaches out within one business day of your results landing to walk you through anything you want to talk about.
What does the $28 deposit cover?
The $28 is a refundable reservation deposit that holds your spot while we coordinate your labs. Complete your lab work and your $28 is fully refunded — or, if you'd prefer, applied as credit toward a consultation or any Vtox purchase, your choice. If you never complete your labs, the deposit is non-refundable.
Is the weight-loss medication covered by insurance?
No. Only the lab testing is billed to your insurance. The GLP-1 medication and the weight-loss program itself are not covered by insurance. "May be covered" refers to lab testing only — never the medication or program.
